TINDEG NU KABABAYAN: A Series of Community Sessions on Violence Against Women

It was a successful gathering of Moro women earlier from Barangay Cuyapon to discuss different forms of community violence and policies that safeguards their rights and welfare.

PNP Kabacan team headed by PL Ernie John Saratao and PCpl Ruby Bendor discussed RA 9262 and the need to coordinate with the authorities when violence occurs in the community. Also, our team from MPCORE discussed the forms of community violence and its possible effects to women and young girls.

Another highlight of the activity was the orientation of Bridging Leadership for Participatory Governance discussed by Ms. Zaynab Ampatuan, CSO Governance Supervisor of Action Against Hunger (AAH) – Kidapawan.

The participants were all amenable that the discussion on VAW is relevant specially during this time of pandemic. The second leg of this community sessions will be happening on the next Saturday. 🧕📖♥️
